Srila Bhakti Aloka Paramadwaiti Swami (Ostercappeln-Germany, October 12, 1953) is a German Teacher, writer and practitioner of Bakthi Yoga. He is the founder of the Inbound Yoga School, the Vrinda Mission, and many other projects. He has thousands of disciples in more than 50 countries around the world.
Well respected in India by the masters of Yoga thanks to his knowledge and practice of that millenary science.
He is also respected by the authorities of that country due to his delivery and development of socio-environmental programs such as Vrindavan Act Now and the cleaning of sacred rivers. He was recently appointed ambassador of Indian culture to Latin America.
He travels constantly to over 500 devotional centres while preaching in South, Central and North America, Europe and Asia. He delivers daily lectures in several languages including: German, Spanish, English and Portuguese. He circles the planet three times a year to visit his disciples and lead all his various projects. He personally manages many social support programs in each of the countries he visits, most in Latin America and India. In addition, his books have been published in a variety of languages.
He is called Guru Maharaj (/ gúru majarásh /) by his disciples.
